On The Tour...
During the tour you will see a wide variety of exciting wild and marine life, from seals to foxes and otters to goats. Have your cameras ready as we travel out Kenmare Bay and see the seals relax while they sunbathe on the rocks. We might be able to count some of the baby pups!

You will have an unobstructed view of The Caha Mountains on the south side and the Macgilicuddy Reeks on the north side of the bay.

Depending on the time of year, be sure to wear suitable clothes and jackets as we will be at sea. Don’t forget your phone and cameras to capture the amazing sights! If the weather forecast is for mild and misty or wet weather, also we have a covered and sheltered section!
Bring a buggy or baby seat for 2 year olds or younger and warm clothes and rain jackets for everyone as the best seats for watching the seals are semi open and we have to sit very still while seal watching so as not to disturb the seals.

The Kenmare Bay is thirty miles long. Twelve miles wide at its mouth and narrowing gradually as it bisects and separates the Beara and Iveragh peninsulas and their mountain ranges. The Kenmare Bay due to its shape is also known as the Kenmare River. Kenmare Bay is listed as a Special Area of Conservation on account of its rare species and habitats.

Kenmare Bay has probably the richest marine habitat in all of Western Europe, we will explore the different seaweeds, oyster farms, mussel farms, shrimp fishing, crab fishing, lobster fishing along with our resident seal colonies. (phoca vitulina) harbour seals,(Halichoerus grypus) grey seals. In June and July, we will see lots of new born pups as they learn to swim with their mothers. This is
fascinating to view and its always great to capture it on camera.
From the seals sunbathing to swimming we might also encounter schools of dolphins from time to time as they swim alongside our boat. We will come alongside the islands where we will try and count the goats and distinguish the puck goats!
